STATE- LEVEL CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP St. Teresa Convent School (Sr. Sec.) Sec- 25 (Panchkula) is proud to be the Venue for ‘State Level Chess Championship’ (2021- 22). This event of Chess Bonanza attracted around 100 chess lovers & little chess masters. There were in all four age categories (U-7, U-9, U-11,U-13, U-15, U-17, U-19) Boys & Girls separately. The Vice Principal for the prize distribution ceremony was Ms. Isha Chopra, Speaking on the occasion, she praised the spirit of competition showed by the participants. She cheered the winners and motivated the rest to be inspired by Arjun from Mahabharta, who kept his focus on the eye of the fish. The young players were filled with enthusiasm, winning spirit & love for the game. The hall was filled to the brim with participants and their parents.The first, Second winner in each categories were facilitated with medals and certificates by the Vice- Principal Ms. Isha Chopra. They applauded & appreciated the spirit of competition of the students & asked the students to stay motivated.U- 11 boys: first position Rohan Khosla, U-13 boys: first position Rohan Garg and Tanuj bagged the second position. U-15 Ankit Khokhar first position and Rahul got second position. U-9 Karan Sharma bagged 1st position and Ankush bagged second position. U – 7 Girls: first position won by Adaya Verma , second was Anjali and for U-9 Nishi bagged 1st position, Yashika bagged 2nd position. U-11 Avni Singh bagged 1st position, Bhumika bagged second position. U-15 Annaya bagged 1st position and second position was bagged by Ritika. U-17 Somya bagged 1st position and Kashish bagged 2nd position.It was a great day for the winners, who took away the trophy & participants who took away a great lesson & a vow to play & win the next tournaments.The tournament is a never-wracking experience not just for the children, but their parents as well, who toil hard to support their children’s love for the game.
