St. Teresa Convent School, Sector 25, Panchkula has been awarded “Atal Tinkering Lab” School of the month (February 2021) Award by Niti Ayog, Government of India.
St. Teresa College is one of the five schools in the state of Haryana, which have been awarded ATL School of the Month (February 2021). The award if for consistent effort for conducting different activities ranging from regional and national level competitions, exhibitions, workshops on problem solving, designing and fabrication of products, lecture series etc. at periodic intervals.
Atal Tinkering Lab is a Government of India initiative, under the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) program. Under the AIM program, Atal Tinckering Labs, have been setup in selected schools across the country to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the country. The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds; and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc.
Atal Tinkering Lab is a work space where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode; and learn innovation skills. Young children will get a chance to work with tools and equipment to understand the concepts of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). The program is monitored by NITI Ayog, Government of India.
